At Avalon Storage you will feel that you have safe clean storage, with easy access.   Whether it's for one month, or however long you need us, consider our safe quiet suburban location. We're only 10 minutes from most locations in Webster, Penfield, eastern Rochester, and Irondequoit.

• What items can I store?  Furnishings - one unit will typically hold contents from a two bedroom apartment.

• What size is your storage?  We offer one size: 9' x 20', with a 6' high entrance and 8' ceiling.  It easily holds a full size car, and more.

• How should I prepare items?  Box items, or cover them.  Label boxes.  See furniture storage tips below.

• Are the units gated?  The storage units are on the premises of an occupied apartment complex.  They are located in a very safe suburban area.  There is no separate gate.

• When can I get access?  24/7.  As shown, you can drive right up to your storage:  no stairs.

• Should I have insurance?  You should check with your renters or homeowner's policy on coverage for stored items.  We recommend insurance, but do not provide it.

• Do you have heated space?  Units are protected from the elements, but are not heated or air-conditioned.

• What hours are you open?  The manager is present from 9 am thru 6pm, Monday thru Saturday.  You  can access your stored items 24 hours a day, 365 days per year.

• When is payment due?  First month payment, plus a security deposit is due at time of check-in.

• When do I get my security deposit back?  The day you move out.

• How long is the lease?  Month to month.

• Will you prorate monthly rents?  Of course.

• Do you have discounts?  Yes, we have a special rate for cars, and discounts for an annual rental.  Call 800-934-9763 for details. 

 Furniture storage tips:

• Visit our storage areas to ensure that you are comfortable with where you are storing.

• Reserve your storage unit  several weeks in advance to ensure the unit(s) are available that you will need.

• Fill all boxes to capacity to avoid collapsing.

• It's a good idea to place strips of wood or pallets on the floor of the unit to create air flow. You do not want to place boxes or overstuffed furniture directly on the concrete floor.

• Label all boxes when packing. It will make your moving day out of storage much easier, and help you determine what boxes to leave in front of your unit for quick access.

• If its worth storing its worth insuring. Check with your homeowners or rental insurance company to see if they will cover your goods while in storage.

• Cover furniture to help keep it dust free.

• Place cedar in the unit to help keep items fresh.

• Remember to check your goods on a monthly basis.
